Pause, resume and reconnect support channels

What you'll achieve

A channel is paused for planned maintenance, resumed after verification or disconnected only with an explicit recovery plan.

Choose the correct lifecycle action

Pause, resume and reconnect support channels: Choose the correct lifecycle action
  1. Open Settings > Channels > Messaging channels and find the provider or account.

  2. Use Pause when you need to stop new intake temporarily while keeping the connection and routing settings.

  3. Use Resume after the provider is healthy. Use Disconnect only when the account, page or bot will no longer be used.

Verify after a change

Pause, resume and reconnect support channels: Verify after a change
  1. Confirm the Brand, Inbox and reply mailbox before enabling the channel again.

  2. Send one provider-native test message and reply from DobroDesk. Check that the reply returns to the same private thread or channel.

  3. If delivery fails, run the provider diagnostics, correct the credential or webhook and retry the test instead of adding a duplicate channel.

What a pause or disconnect changes

  • A pause blocks new channel intake but keeps existing conversations and configuration available to teammates.
  • Disconnect stops provider API work. It does not delete DobroDesk conversations, customer-authored messages or audit history.
  • Reconnect the same account when possible so provider identity and routing remain stable.
