What you'll achieve
Messages from selected Slack channels arrive as conversations in the chosen Inbox.
Prepare the Slack app details
- An active Brand, Inbox and reply mailbox in DobroDesk.
- A Slack app Bot token and Signing secret.
- The IDs for the exact Slack channels that should become support conversations.
Treat the Bot token and Signing secret as credentials. Do not share them in chat or a document. Enter Channel IDs separated by commas or spaces.
Connect Slack and add the Request URL
Open Admin > Channels > Messaging channels and select Connect Slack.
Choose the Brand, Inbox and Reply mailbox that should own this channel.
Enter the Bot token, Signing secret and the selected Channel IDs, then select Connect.
Copy the Callback URL displayed by DobroDesk.
In the Slack app, open Event Subscriptions and add the copied value as the Request URL.
Send a test message in each selected Slack channel and confirm it becomes a conversation in the chosen Inbox.
DobroDesk verifies the bot and every selected channel before saving the connection. Only messages from selected Channel IDs are accepted. Replies stay in the originating Slack thread and require approval.
