DobroDesk Help Center
Connect your support email
Connect Gmail, Outlook or an address on your own domain.
What you'll achieve
New customer emails arrive as conversations in the Inbox you choose.
Choose how to connect
Start with the support address customers already use. Gmail and Outlook connect after you approve mailbox access with Google or Microsoft. An address on your own domain is activated after incoming and outgoing delivery checks pass.
- Gmail integration for a Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox
- Outlook integration for a Microsoft 365 or Outlook mailbox
- Your domain for a support address that is not hosted in Gmail or Outlook
A custom-domain address is activated only after DobroDesk verifies both incoming routing and authenticated sending for the domain.
Connect the address
Open Admin > Channels > Support mailboxes and select Add mailbox.
Choose Gmail integration, Outlook integration or Another support address.
Select the DobroDesk Inbox that should receive new conversations.
Approve the requested mailbox access shown by Google or Microsoft.
For a new mailbox choose the Google or Microsoft account that owns it. Reconnect and Change connection reuse the known sign-in account.
Send a test message from an unrelated address and confirm it appears in DobroDesk.
A Microsoft account can use one address to sign in while its Outlook mailbox has another address. DobroDesk confirms the primary mailbox address with Microsoft and shows both values in diagnostics when they differ.
What to expect
- Incoming email is shown as a chat-style customer conversation.
- Replies use the connected support address with the correct From, Reply-To and threading headers.
- You can add more addresses and route them to different Inboxes later.
Receive mail at an additional address
Open Admin > Channels > Support mailboxes and find Additional receiving addresses.
Choose the primary support mailbox that should receive the conversations.
Add the extra address such as noreply@example.com.
Ask the administrator for your mail domain to route that exact recipient to the DobroDesk destination shown during setup, then send an unrelated incoming test message.
An additional receiving address is an inbound alias. Customer replies always use the primary support mailbox as From and Reply-To.
Change the email service for an address
A mailbox address can use one active connection. DobroDesk keeps the current connection working until the replacement can receive messages.
Open Admin > Channels > Support mailboxes and select Review for the address.
In Selected mailbox diagnostics choose Change connection.
Choose Gmail or Outlook and authorize the same mailbox address.
Confirm the replacement when DobroDesk shows the current connection.
Check receive and send health before using the mailbox for customer conversations.
If Gmail or Outlook returns a different mailbox address DobroDesk keeps the existing connection. Add the detected mailbox separately or choose a different Google or Microsoft account. A login address alone never replaces the selected mailbox.
